The New iPod Nanos
Although they look like Nano-versions of the iPod Minis, Apple has released today what will, in most likelihood, be another successful line of mp3 players.
The new iPod Nanos, starting at $149, are available now through Apple.com, along with the new iPod Shuffle (does anybody use the Shuffle??).
New Features
With the new line up of iPod Nanos you can expect many new features such as:
- Longer Battery Life – Up to 24hrs.
- Brighter Screen – 40% Brighter.
- Aluminum Case
- 2, 4, & 8Gb of storage
The aluminum case should be more resistant to scratches than the casing on the original Nanos. But, aside from those features, you’ll also get more colors to choose from. Nanos are now available in:
- White
- Black
- Pink
- Blue
- Green
In The Box
The iPod Nano comes with the items listed below. However, if you don’t already have iTunes, you’ll need to download it from Apple’s website as it is no longer packaged with the product.
- iPod nano
- Earphones
- USB 2.0 cable
- Dock adapter
- Quick Start guide
Also note that it’s a “Dock Adapter” and not a “Dock.” If you want one of those fancy little docks that you can just pop the Nano in and out from, you’ll have to purchase it separately. However, the packaged USB cable should work just fine (mine does, anyways).
